Good wine, delivery could improve

I ordered a case of the Terres de Berne Rosé, and the wine itself is lovely, just as I expected. The square bottle is a nice touch and it arrived well-packaged, no breakages. However, the delivery took closer to 8 days to reach me in California, which felt a bit long, especially for an international shipment. I get that it's coming from France, but I've had faster service from other European wineries. Customer service was responsive when I inquired about the tracking, so that was a plus. Overall, good value for the quality, but I hope they can speed up the shipping process a little.

Smooth order, excellent wine

My recent purchase from Chateau DE Berne was a really pleasant experience from start to finish. I ordered the Cuvée Héritage Rosé along with a Coffret Gastronomie as a gift. The website was easy to navigate, and the checkout process was straightforward. I received an order confirmation immediately, followed by shipping updates which allowed me to track the parcel's journey. The packaging was very robust; the bottles were secure, and everything arrived in perfect condition. The wine was fantastic, exactly what I expected from a Provence rosé. The gift box was also very well presented. I even had a quick question about delivery times before ordering, and their customer support responded within a day with clear information. It makes a difference when a company pays attention to these details.

Pretty good experience overall

I got some Grande Récolte Rouge from here last month. It was pretty easy to order online, the site wasn't clunky or anything. It took about a week and a half for the wine to show up at my place in New York, which felt normal for something coming from overseas. The wine was packaged really well, nothing was broken which is always a relief. I mean, it's good wine, did the job for dinner. No complaints really, I'd probably order again if I needed more nice wine.

Hey, thinking of ordering a case for a party next month. Does anyone know how long delivery usually takes to, say, Miami?

E Elizabeth Anderson 3 weeks ago
Mine took like, a week and a half to get to LA, I'd say plan for at least two weeks to be safe across the country. Wine shipping can be slow sometimes.

Yeah, I think it says on their site it can be up to 10-14 days for US deliveries, especially with customs stuff.

I'm torn between getting a case from Chateau de Berne or trying out Minuty this time. Any thoughts on how they compare, especially for a good summer rosé?

H Hannah Scott 2 weeks ago
Oh, Berne's rosé is usually a bit more full-bodied and structured compared to Minuty, which I find can be a bit lighter and fruitier. Both good, but depends what you're in the mood for.

Minuty is great, but Berne often has that extra layer of complexity, especially their Pur Rosé. If you like a more serious, dry Provence rosé, Berne is usually a safe bet. Minuty is more of a crowd-pleaser sometimes.

Quick question on payment methods. Can I use PayPal or is it just credit cards for US orders?

L Linda Wright 4 days ago
Pretty sure they take the usual credit cards, Visa/Mastercard. Not sure about PayPal though, I just used my Amex.

I've paid with a regular debit card no problem. Check their checkout page, it usually lists all the options there before you commit.

Are their bottles really square? I saw a pic and thought it was just a weird angle, but that's kinda cool if true.

D Daniel Perez 1 month ago
Yep, totally square! It's their thing. Super distinctive, looks great on a table too.

They are! It's one of the reasons I first tried them, thought it was unique. Plus they fit in the fridge better lol.

Has anyone had to return a broken bottle or anything? Just wondering how their customer service is with that kind of stuff.

M Mark Hernandez 2 weeks ago
I had a corked bottle once, emailed them with a pic and they sorted it out really quickly, sent a replacement. Pretty easy process.

Yeah, returns for damaged stuff seem fine. They pack pretty well but sometimes things happen. Just reach out to them.
